After the Mourning's debut album has been a long time in the making. We began the recording in 2006 with our original four-man lineup and our original eight songs.
Through several changes in lineup, After the Mourning returned to the studio as a three piece band multiple times, totaling over fifty hours recording more than twenty songs.
In December of 2008, with fifteen new songs nearly complete, After the Mourning split up again. All prior recordings were discarded. Much of the music was subjected to vigorous rewrites and reorganization, while several songs were scrapped entirely.

In these Archives you will find pictures of everyone who contributed to the early recordings. These musicians have played a role in the writing and the direction of many of After the Mourning's earliest songs.

I hope you enjoy this little piece of history.
